To conserve the natural habitat and marine reserve of Nature’s Valley, water skiing is only permitted in Plettenberg Bay’s Central Ocean, Keurbooms River, and Knysna’s ocean and lagoon. Keurbooms and Plettenberg Bay are excellent venues for stand up paddling, Hobie Cat sailing, Surfing and Wave and water Skiing. Canoeing is allowed in Nature’s Valley lagoon and canoes can be rented at Nature’s Valley Rest Camp in the Tsitsikamma Section of the San Parks Garden Route National Park.

| The “Spirit of Tsitsikamma” boat can carry up to 22 person. The trip up the otherwise inaccessible Storms River Gorge gives visitors the opportunity to view the gorge flanked by heights of up to 20 meters on either side of the river. The boat is run by SANParks every 45 minutes and departs from the old jetty below the suspension bridge from the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp (Tsitsikamma Section) which can be reached after a half an hour walk along the Mouth Trail (an 800m boardwalk which winds its way along the coastal forest, ending at the suspension bridge below the Khoisan Cave). Budget about two hours in time for this activity. |

| Stand Up Paddling offers boat trips up the Keurbooms river, followed by an hour-long stand up paddling experience in the tranquil surroundings of the Keurbooms Nature Reserve. The paddling begins at Whiskey Creek, past which no motorised watercraft may proceed, so you can relax. No experience is needed, regardless of your level of ability, and children are welcome.
